Scoliosis: A sideways curvature of the spine.
Reverse Lordosis: Occurs when the vertebrae of the cervical spine bend in the wrong direction.
Kyphosis: An excessive outward curvature of the spine, commonly referred to as "hunch back".
Favorable Ankylosis: Fixation of a spinal segment in a neutral position (zero degrees).
Unfavorable Ankylosis: The entire cervical spine, the entire thoracolumbar spine, or the entire spine is fixed in flexion or extension.
Cervical Spine: The neck area of the spine.
Thoracolumbar Spine: The transitional area between the thoracic spine (located around the rib cage) and the lumbar, or lower, spine.
