Muscle Cond. Pelvic Girdle and Thigh

Slight - Simple wound of muscle without debridement or infection.

Moderate - Deep penetrating wound of short track from a single bullet, small shell or shrapnel fragment, without explosive effect of high velocity missile, residuals of debridement, or prolonged infection.

Moderately severe - Deep penetrating wound by small high velocity missile or large low veloity missile, with debridement, prolonged infection, or soughing of soft parts and intermuscular scarring.

Severe - Deep penetrating wound due to high velocity missile, or large or multiple low velocity missiles, or with shattering bone fracture or open comminuted fracture with extensive debridement, prolonged infection, or soughing of soft parts, intermuscular binding and scarring.
Symptoms Severity
Impairment of the extension of the hip and flexion of the knee or outward and inward rotation of the flexed knee.
Impairment of the extension of the knee or simultaneous flexion of the hip and knee or tension in the ileotibial band acting in postural support of the body.
Impairment of adduction of the hip, flexion of the hip, or flexion of the knee.
Impairment in flexion of the hip.
Impairment of extension of the hip, abduction of the thigh, elevation of opposite side of the pelvis, or tension of the fascia lata and iliotibial band in postural support of body steadying the pelvis.
Impairment in outward rotation of the thigh and stabilization of the hip joint.
